Firstly, I'd like to apologise for not blogging in so long! I have been extremely busy with uni work recently but I'm going to make it my New Year's resolution to be more organised so I have time for blogging and uni work. Anyway, I better get cracking with today's review...
Introducing you to Cosmetic Warrior from Lush. This is the first time I've bought this face mask (and to be honest I meant to pick up Catastrophe Cosmetic - the similar names confused me!) and I'm really enjoying it. The face mask contains tea tree, which is an ingredient that has always worked well on my face, garlic, grapes, eggs, and honey. This product cools my skin and tightens it - thanks to the grapes and eggs. I suffer from quite oily skin but after wearing this face mask for 10 minutes my skin feels drier (without being unbearably dry) and cleaner. If I have spots, I find that they heal quicker after using this face mask than when I don't use it at all, however, it's not a miracle overnight worker. Also, if my skin is really bad, I can use this product on consecutive days without it being too harsh for my skin and my face won't become too dry. The only downside to this face mask is the smell - it's probably due to the garlic but I really dislike the smell of it. Although, you might like the smell of this face mask; it's just not my cup of tea!
In the future I think I'll stick to Catastrophe Cosmetic because it has a similar effect on my skin as this face mask does (but with a nicer smell!). Have you tried any of the Lush face masks? If so, which one is your favourite?

Ever since Cara Delevingne started the eyebrow craze there has been an increase in the sales of brow products as people try to recreate her famous eyebrows. I've spent a small fortune on eyebrow products too over the last year, trying to find the best one to improve my brows. Recently, I've been loving the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara. This is the first brow mascara I've used because I normally stick to brow pencils - and, I LOVE IT!
This product is easy to apply because it combs through all of the hairs and shapes them without leaving marks around the brows or clumping. The Maybelline Brow Drama defines my brows but it doesn't make them look too heavy, which I sometimes get if I draw my brows on too thick with a pencil! One swipe of the mascara wand across my brows is enough to achieve my desired look, however, if you want to fill in your brows more, then I assume that applying more layers of mascara will do the trick. The formula of this product ensures that my brows don't budge until I take it off, which is great because then I don't have to worry about a hair being out of place! This product comes in four shades so there should be a shade that matches your brows (I use dark brown) - one of the shades is transparent which will be good if you want to shape your brows but don't want them to be anymore defined.
Overall, the Maybelline Brow Drama makes your natural brows stand out more - think "you but better". This is my favourite brow product that I've come across. Let me know if you've tried the Maybelline Brow Drama before and what your favourite brow product is.

I used to use face wipes religiously - even through the micellar water hype I was't tempted to change. Eventually, I broke my routine and tried my friend's L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water; and the next day I went to my local Boots and bought a bottle for myself.
What impressed me most about this product is that a couple of cotton wool pads soaked in this removes my makeup completely, whereas when I used to use face wipes my face would still have some makeup residue on it. This micellar water leaves my face clean enough that I don't have to wash it with water afterwards (it even removes waterproof mascara with ease!). No scrubbing is required - just gently wipe the cotton wool pad across your face - so this product isn't too harsh for sensitive skin. Furthermore, my skin feels soft after using this and it doesn't dry out my skin like other deep cleaning products can do.
The L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water is now a staple product in my skincare routine; I'm currently on my fourth bottle and I will continue to repurchase this! What micellar water have you tried?

Ted Baker have a lovely selection of Christmas gifts in Boots this year. For my birthday a friend bought me this Ted Baker Mini Trio Gift set and I thought I would share it with you guys as I think it would make a great Christmas gift for friends, sisters, or mums.
The packaging - as with all Ted Baker products - looks elegant and classy; making the gift set look more expensive than it actually is! This gift set is described as a "collection of minis [that] blends fruity top notes with violet, whilst the base combines sweet yet soft vanilla, patchouli and amber". I personally love the smell of these products, however, I find that the scent of the body spray fades quicker than I would like it to (I prefer something that lasts all day!). Although, the plus side is that the body spray is small enough to fit into your handbag so you can reapply it whenever you feel it's necessary. Additionally, the body lotion is great if you want a scented moisturiser but if you're looking for something to battle dry skin, such as on the elbows, then this isn't the one for you. The body wash makes me feel refreshed and fills the bathroom with its beautiful aroma - and the scent lasts!
Let me know if you're planning on buying any of the Ted Baker gift sets for someone this Christmas.

After buying the MAC Twig lipstick I convinced myself that I needed to invest in a lip pencil too to complete the look! Whirl and Spice seem to be a popular choice to pair with Twig, however, I loved the look of Soar and I also think it goes well with some of my other MAC lipsticks too.
Soar is described by MAC as a "mid-tone pinkish brown". The lip pencil has a creamy texture and applies easily to the lips. Also, Soar remained on my lips for the whole time that I was wearing lipstick - rather than rubbing off half way through the day. Outlining my lips with Soar before applying Twig made my lips look plumper and more defined (yes I did feel like Kylie Jenner!), but if you want to create even bigger looking lips then overlining the lips slightly should do the trick.
I have also paired Soar with my MAC Peach Blossom lipstick because Peach Blossom is a barely there nude so blending it in with Soar creates a slightly darker nude but still has the glossiness of Peach Blossom. Which lipstick and lip pencil is your favourite combination?

I've found my new favourite nail polish brand; Essie. After years of looking at the stand, admiring the vast array of nail polishes, and then walking on, I finally decided to try an Essie nail polish. What shade did I go for? Of course, I picked up Bahama Mama as it's the perfect shade for autumn and winter - a "warm, rich, creamy deep plum" is how this nail polish is described on the Essie website.
Essie nail polishes are slightly more expensive than the nail polishes I usually buy, but they're totally worth it! Before applying Bahama Mama I coat my nails with the Essie All in One Base (and I also put this on top of Bahama Mama) because I believe this helps to prolong the wear of the nail polish and prevent it from chipping. This nail polish has lasted longer than any other nail polishes that I've tried; I wore this for about eight days and it didn't chip at all - impressive stuff!
To make this nail polish more festive, you could add one of Essie's glitter nail polishes - such as Rock at the Top or Summit of Style - to one finger on each hand or layer the glitter nail polish over Bahama Mama. This is something I will be doing nearer to Christmas. What is your favourite Essie nail polish?

I'm currently battling an obsession with MAC lipsticks - every time I pass a MAC counter I feel an urge to buy one! The latest addition to my ever-growing collection of MAC lipsticks is Twig. I had been eyeing up this lipstick for some time before I finally bought it. Twig is satin in formula and described on the MAC website as "soft muted brownish-pink", and I'd say they've hit the nail on the head with that description. What I love most about this lipstick is that I can apply it in the morning and the colour will remain on my lips all day, without needing to be reapplied. However, I would say that Twig starts to feel less creamy after a few hours of wearing it and my lips start to go dry - but that could just be my lips!
I feel rather smug that I managed to unintentionally pick up a shade perfect for autumn. Twig is a bold colour but not as bold as some of the vampy shades sported in autumn; so if you want to wear a darker shade than your natural lip colour but don't feel comfortable wearing a really bold colour then Twig is the perfect shade for you. What MAC lipstick is your favourite? Maybe I'll buy that one next!

I'm ashamed to admit that I have not visited a Lush store in a while now. However, the realization that Lush's Christmas products are out now is what tempted me into a store. I had completely used up all of my Lush products so this was the perfect opportunity to stock up - mainly on bubble bars as these are my favourite product that Lush sells!
The first Christmas product I picked up was the Five Gold Rings. They are five glittery bubble bars held together on a string, which crumble and foam when placed in water. I was attracted to this product because it contains vanilla (a scent I absolutely adore!), and it's also packed with illipe butter and moringa oil, which are two skin softening ingredients. This product definitely gets me into the Christmas spirit, even if there is still nine weeks to go...
After browsing the Christmas products for a good twenty minutes I turned my attention to this Sparkly Pumpkin for Halloween. This citrus bubble bar turns the bath water a vibrant orange colour and makes me feel rather autumnal - especially with some pumpkin scented candles lit around the bath. The bubble bar contains juniperberry, lime and grapefruit oils, which are perfect for soaking in the bath for hours!
Once I'd finished looking at the themed products I bought a couple of the regular products; the first one was The Comforter. This could be my favourite Lush product ever! I've bought this many times now and I manage to get about five baths out of each bubble bar. It foams very quickly under water and turns the bath water an amazing pink colour - which doesn't stain the bath tub. The cassis absolute gives a pleasant fruity fragrance and my skin feels smooth for hours after getting out of the bath. I urge anyone who hasn't already tried one of these to go and buy one!
Overall, I'm loving all of the products I recently purchased from Lush and I will definitely be going back there before Christmas to pick up some of their other Christmas products - so watch this space for a 'Lush Christmas Haul'! What products are you liking from Lush at the moment?

The POREfessional primer from Benefit is a key player in my makeup routine. Ever since I began wearing foundation I have always put a primer underneath it but it wasn't until about seven months ago that I decided to take the plunge and invest in a slightly more expensive primer. After reading lots of positive reviews of The POREfessional I decided that this was the one - and it could be the best decision I've ever made!
Being unfortunately graced with larger pores than normal made this primer seem like the perfect solution to all my problems and, although it doesn't make them disappear completely, it definitely minimizes them and makes them less visible. My skin verges on the oily side - particularly on my nose - but The POREfessional reduces how oily my skin gets through the day so I no longer need to bring a loose powder with me whenever I leave my house. Obviously this primer doesn't stop oil completely but I'd say my face lasts around eight hours before it starts to get oily, which is when I'll apply a powder. The great thing about this primer is that my foundation goes on very smoothly and it lasts for hours without me needing to reapply the foundation or concealer (the current foundation that I'm using is Nars Sheer Glow - it's AMAZING!). The only problem I have with this primer is that I have to use more than I thought I would to cover my whole face; a little bit doesn't go a long way in this case! Despite this, a tube of The POREfessional manages to last me about six months with nearly daily use.
In conclusion, I absolutely adore this primer and can't imagine my makeup routine without it anymore! Let me know what you think of this primer if you've tried it and if not then tell me what your favourite primer is.

I've finally got my hands on the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette! I'm aware that I'm slightly late to the game - this has been on my wishlist since I first heard about it! Anyway, when I first opened the box to this I instantly fell in love with the new packaging; it's magnetic and has a beautiful design on the case, which makes it more elegant in appearance than it's predecessors. Another bonus of this palette is that it came with a leaflet showing four different looks you can create with it (I don't know if all the smoky palettes come with this leaflet or whether it was specific to the place I bought it from, which was Feel Unique). I found this leaflet useful to start with because it gave me some idea of what shades go well together.
The shades in the palette are grouped together - the first four are glitter shades, the middle four are satin shades and the last four are matte shades. I prefer this layout to the previous palettes where they're all mixed together. My favourite would be the glitter shades because I can use these with any look that I want to create. 'High' will be particularly good for highlighting the brow bone, hence I can use it every time I put on eyeshadow! The only problem with the glitter shades is that some of the glitter gets on my face which is a bit annoying. The satin shades will be getting less use from me; particularly 'Black Market' and 'Smolder' because I find it hard to work with shades this dark, although 'Black Market' may be good to line the lash line. I like to use the matte shades to tone down the glitter shades. Adding 'Whiskey' to the crease and outer corners of my eyes is one of my favourite looks from the matte shades because it adds depth to the eyes.
Overall, I absolutely love this palette... I may even go as far as saying it's my favourite Urban Decay palette to date! What do you think of this palette? And which Urban Decay palette is your favourite?

Wearing a watch isn't something that I'm used to - I haven't worn one since I was 12 years old! However, I thought that it was finally time to invest in a decent watch. A lot of people recommended Olivia Burton watches to me so I started browsing them on Topshop's website and instantly fell in love with the various colours and designs. I settled for the Wonderland Black and Gold Watch but it was a tough decision between that and the mink and rose gold watch (which I may have to buy at a later date!). The midi dial is the perfect size for my wrist - I was tempted to buy a big dial watch but I now know that would be far too big for me as I have quite small wrists! I find it very easy to tell the time accurately because the markings on the watch are clear and the size of the strap fits my wrist perfectly. Let me know which Olivia Burton watch is your favourite in the comments below.

Hello everyone! I thought that I'd jump straight in with a few recent home purchases. But what about an introduction? I'm sure some of you are wondering why I haven't started with telling you a bit about me, well... I wasn't really sure what to say so if you'd like to know who I am before you start reading my post then head on over to the About page. Otherwise, lets get cracking...
I love this pale pink alarm clock! It's something that I've been wanting for ages to replace my old yellow alarm clock (yellow? I know, yuck!) and I finally found one today at my local Debenhams store. The pale pink colour compliments all of the white furniture in my bedroom because it adds a bit of colour but isn't too bright. There's an adjustment wheel on the back of the clock so that I can set an alarm, although I've yet to use it - but I'm sure it isn't too difficult to use. The only issue I may have with it is when I'm trying to get to sleep as the seconds hand makes a noise when it moves, which could prove to be rather annoying!
This picture frame is also from Debenhams - I found it whilst searching for the alarm clock. I love the pretty patterns on the frame and, even though I don't know what photos I'm going to put in it yet, I couldn't resist the urge to buy it anyway.
I've never kept any plants in my room before but a friend pointed these out to me on a recent visit to Ikea and I thought they'd be a great decoration for my room. Each cactus is in a plant pot, which is filled with soil, and that's inside the white pot so when you water them it won't leak out and make a mess of your room! Additionally, they don't have to be watered very often so if I forget to do that (which is highly likely!) they won't die. Unfortunately you can't order these online at the moment but who doesn't like a trip to Ikea anyway?
Let me know in the comments below what home decorations you've bought recently or any that you would like to buy.
